At Apex K9 USA, our goal is to provide every client with clear communication, structure, and consistency — both in our training and in our policies.

The following policies are in place to ensure transparency, safety, and success for every dog that trains with us.

General Policies

  • All training programs are by appointment only.

  • Proof of current vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella) is required prior to starting any program.

  • Dogs must be free of contagious illness or parasites before arrival.

  • Owners must disclose any history of aggression, reactivity, or anxiety prior to training.

  • Training deposits are non-refundable but transferable to a later date with adequate notice (typically 7 days).

Board & Train Policies

  • Drop-off & Pick-up: Scheduled by appointment to allow one-on-one time with your trainer.

  • Communication: Trainers provide regular updates during your dog’s stay.

  • What to Bring: Your dog’s food, medications (if applicable), and a collar/leash — no toys or bedding required.

  • Health & Safety: Dogs receive daily exercise, socialization, and structured downtime.

  • Payment: A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your dog’s training spot. The remaining balance is due at the time of drop-off.

The safety and well-being of every dog in our care is our highest priority. In the event of illness, injury, or emergency, Apex K9 USA will make every reasonable effort to contact using the information provided.

If we are unable to reach you promptly, we reserve the right to seek immediate veterinary attention from a licensed veterinarian or our choice to ensure your dog receives appropriate care without delay.

Owners are financially responsible for any veterinary services or related costs incurred during their dog’s stay or participation in training.

We encourage owners to provide any relevant medical history, allergies, or special needs before training begins so that we can provide the safest experience possible.

Training Program Information

  • Each dog’s progress depends on their temperament, drive, and consistency in training.

  • Owners are expected to continue practicing at home to maintain results.

  • Follow-up lessons may be required for certain programs to reinforce training.

  • We do not guarantee results without ongoing handler participation and commitment.

  • Remaining balances are due upon drop-off (for board & train) or before your first session (for one-on-one programs).

Liability Disclaimer

Apex K9 USA will take every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care.

However, by enrolling in any training or boarding program, owners acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved in dog training and socialization.

Pet Abandonment Policy

In accordance with Florida law, any dog left seven (7) days beyond the agreed-upon pick-up date without communication or arrangements made with Apex K9 USA will be considered abandoned.

Apex K9 USA will make reasonable attempts to contact the owner and the given emergency contact using the information given. If no response is received, ownership of the dog may be transferred to Apex K9 USA, and the animal may be re-homed at our discretion.

The owner will remain financially responsible for all accrued charges during the extended stay, including daily boarding rates, care costs, medication charges (if applicable), and any collection or legal fees incurred.

This policy is established in accordance with Florida Statutes § 828.13 and § 705.19, which defined the abandonment and care responsibilities of pet owners and outline procedures for animals left in the custody of licensed facilities.

Apex K9 USA complies with these regulations and will make all reasonable efforts to contact the owner before taking further action. Owners acknowledge and agree to these terms upon enrollment in any program or upon leaving a dog in Apex K9 USA’s care.
